Organic traffic estimator
Enter a keyword’s monthly search volume and a target position to estimate clicks, conversions and value. The CTR curve is editable, so you can use your own Search Console averages.
How it works
Estimated clicks = monthly searches × click-through rate for the position. The default curve uses approximate averages from public organic CTR studies (about 28% for position 1, falling to about 2–3% at position 10). Real CTR varies with SERP features, brand strength and device, so replace the defaults with your own Google Search Console numbers when you have them.
Frequently asked questions
What CTR does position 1 get on Google?
Public studies put the average organic CTR for position 1 at roughly 25–30%. It is much lower when ads, featured snippets or AI answers sit above the result.
Why is my real traffic different from the estimate?
Search volume is itself an estimate, CTR depends on SERP features and intent, and one page usually ranks for many keywords. Use the estimate to compare opportunities, not to forecast exact traffic.
Where do I find my real CTR?
Open Google Search Console, go to Performance, enable "Average CTR" and "Average position", and filter by query.
