Keyword intent checker
Paste a keyword list (one per line). Each keyword is labeled informational, commercial, transactional, navigational or local, along with the modifier that triggered the label. You can copy the results as CSV.
How it works
The checker matches keyword modifiers against intent patterns. Question words and "guide" or "tutorial" mean informational. "Best", "vs", "review" and "alternatives" mean commercial. "Buy", "price", "coupon" and "near me" mean transactional or local. Brand and login terms mean navigational. If nothing matches, the keyword is labeled "unclear". In that case, check the live SERP: SignalForge shows the SERP features that reveal the real intent.
Frequently asked questions
What is search intent?
Search intent is the goal behind a query: learning something (informational), comparing options (commercial), buying or acting (transactional), reaching a specific site (navigational) or finding something nearby (local).
How accurate is modifier-based intent?
It works well for keywords with clear modifiers, such as "how to", "best", "buy" and "near me". Keywords without modifiers are ambiguous. For those, the SERP features (shopping ads, People Also Ask, map packs) are the better signal, and the SignalForge keyword report shows them.
Are my keywords uploaded anywhere?
No. The classification runs entirely in your browser.
