How SignalForge produces its numbers
SignalForge labels every metric by how it was produced. This page explains the sources, the models and what we will not claim.
Data sources
- Live public signals: search-engine autocomplete (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, YouTube, Amazon), public result pages, result counts and Wikipedia pageviews.
- Your own crawls: site audits, on-page grading, schema and performance checks fetch the pages you ask about. They respect robots.txt and are rate-limited.
- Licensed data (limited): when a small daily data budget is available, some SERP and volume lookups use licensed Google data from DataForSEO. If the budget is used up, the tool falls back to free sources and says so.
- Google Search Console: shown only for properties that are verified and connected.
Modeled metrics
- Volume index: a relative demand estimate from autocomplete depth, result counts and pageviews. It is not Google Ads volume.
- Difficulty: computed from the strength of the top-10 ranking domains and how closely their titles match the keyword.
- Intent: rules over keyword modifiers and the SERP features present.
- Signal Authority: a 0-100 estimate from public signals. It is not a backlink index.
AI-generated content
Content briefs, headlines and AI Writer output are drafts produced by large language models from the live SERP. Treat them as a starting point. A human should review them before publishing. We do not publish AI articles on this site without human review.
Free tools
The tools under /tools run in your browser. The keywords you paste are not sent to our servers.

What we won't do
- We don't present estimates as measured data.
- We don't publish fake reviews or invented testimonials.
